Terms of Service

By accessing or using Addis Poster (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old to use Addis Poster. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement. The Service is intended for users in the United States.

You sign in using your phone number and a one-time password (OTP). You are responsible for keeping your phone secure. You may not share your account or impersonate another person. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

• You retain ownership of content you post (listings, messages, reviews).
• By posting, you grant Addis Poster a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote that content within the Service.
• You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of your content.
• You must not post: illegal items, counterfeit goods, adult content, hate speech, spam, or misleading information.

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service without written consent.
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features.
• Use the Service for commercial mass posting or unsolicited advertising.
• Harass, threaten, or defraud other users.
• Post listings for services you are not licensed to provide (e.g., unlicensed contracting, unregistered care services).

Listings in the Work & Help category connect individuals for paid services. Addis Poster is a venue only — we are not a party to any agreement between users. You are responsible for verifying credentials, licenses, and insurance of any service provider you engage. Addis Poster is not liable for any harm arising from service engagements.

Promoted listings and business advertising are processed through Stripe. All fees are listed at the time of purchase and are non-refundable except where required by law. Ad plans auto-expire at the end of the purchased period and do not auto-renew.

Reviews must be honest and based on a genuine transaction or interaction. We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate these Terms. Submitting false or retaliatory reviews is prohibited.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THE ACCURACY OF LISTINGS, THE IDENTITY OF USERS, OR THE OUTCOME OF ANY TRANSACTION.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Addis Poster AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE FEES YOU PAID US IN THE 3 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Montgomery County, Maryland.

We may update these Terms at any time. We will post the new version with an updated effective date. Continued use after the update constitutes acceptance.
